Ultimate Apps Guide - Part One

With over 900 music making apps on the iTunes app store, there’s so much you can do with Apple's music making apps. In this short guide we take you through our most popular apps to use with the Fusion Guitar.

#1 JamUp

JamUp is an awesome app to get started with digital effects. With so many tones and features, even the pros use it every day for recording, playing live on stage and more.

We recommend this app for anyone new to iOS digital effects as the guys over at Positive Grid have thought about the player every step of the way.

JamUp's interface is really similar to a traditional pedal setup, with a digital pedal train, the activation of an effects pedal or new amp is as easy as a flick of your finger! But more than that, JamUp is design to go further than digital effects, by including some handy tools.

Here's a Snapshot of JamUp's Features:

- A built in looping station for quickly recording tracks, similar to a Boss RC-30 Loop Station. Finally an effortless way to loop a few tracks or an idea on the go!

- Backing track loader - perfect to practice along to songs, change the volume, speed and pitch easily

- Digital rig presets, plug your device into the Fusion and with one touch start playing with your favourite digital effects and amp setup

- A more serious 8 track recorder, when you want to get more out of an idea or riff.

- BIAS integration. JamUp can be easily integrated with with Positive Grid's - BIAS, and amp designer and modeler app, expanding JamUp into a powerful and detailed amp emulation tool.

JamUp can be downloaded for free, with a full expansion to more digital effects starting from $30.99

#2 Yousician

Yousician is your number one tool to go from beginner to expert, without the expensive guitar teacher!

Yousician is an app that makes learning guitar fun, easy and quick! Learn at your own pace, whenever and wherever you want. The app listens to you play and gives instant feedback on your accuracy and timing.

The curriculum is designed by expert music teachers, and coupled with the Fusion’s lightning quick processor - you get real time visual and audio feedback showing you how you’re improving as a player.

You can get started right away with Yousician by downloading it for free here. And if you like it, there’s a low cost subscription. Far cheaper and easier than hiring a music teacher.

#3 AmpliTube

Similar to JamUp, AmpliTube is an all in one app for heaps of realistic digital effects, recording looping and more. AmpliTube gives you 17 creative stompbox effects, 8 amazing amps, 10 speaker cabinets and 2 mics, 1 Loop Drummer groove from the Rock pack and 1 active track in the recorder section.

You can expand this selection via a massive library of over 100 pieces of gear that includes amps and stompboxes from the world’s best brands like Fender™, Soldano®, Ampeg®, ENGL®, Orange®, T-Rex® and many more.

The cool factor about AmpliTube is that there’s an app for almost imaginable type of player, from acoustic players, to those familiar to the Messa Boogie Range, to players looking for the elusive Jimmi Hendrix Sound, there’s an app for that. Delivered by AmpliTube’s breakthrough real life amp simulator.

AmpliTube can be downloaded for free with all the basic amp and pedal configurations. Unlock full features for $30.99. Check out all the AmpliTube variations here

#4 Garageband

The old trusty Garageband that everyone knows and loves is surprising powerful when used with an iPhone or iPod and harnessed with the Fusion Guitar. Turning your device into a fully fledged recording studio, Garageband gives you the ability to multi track a song, including all the aspects of a digital audio workstation. Supporting voice recording, laying down beats and drum tracks, and huge array of digital instruments and awesome amp simulations it really is a great way to develop a song with great detail, while you’re on the go.

The Fusion Guitar natively syncs with Garageband and supports other guitar apps such as JamUp and AmpliTube, so you’re only touch away from accessing your recording studio anywhere, anytime!

Garageband with full features is a free download, so get recording!

That's it for now! Join our mailing list to be the first to know when part 2 is released.
